Hello HFA: Elementary School families! We are proud to bring you this week's Weekly Bulletin which contains important updates for you and your child.
Weekly Bulletin – February 20th –February 27th
Henry Ford Academy: Elementary School Families:
I hope you all had a great Mid-Winter Break. I would like to thank all of our parents who attended the meeting last week. At the meeting we discussed strategies for improving the attendance rate of students at the school. We also discussed the academic improvements that our students are making. We had well over 100 parents in attendance and I appreciate everyone’s participation in the Design Thinking activity.
You should have received your child’s Grade Report before the break. Students will also be nominated for the quarterly Developmental Skills Awards. We will have a much smaller ceremony this quarter and return to the larger ceremony for the 3rd quarter awards in the month of April. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s Grade Report or the Developmental Skills Awards feel free to contact your child’s teacher.
We are experiencing a very high number of tardy students on a daily basis. Please remember that school starts at 8:25 am and students will be late starting at 8:35am. It is important that ALL students are here everyday and on time. We are also experiencing a high number of early pick-ups. I understand that doctor’s appointments and emergencies do occur but the number of early dismissals has become chronic and interrupts the learning environment at the school. I would appreciate if we could be respectful of the learning environment at the school. We must work together to ensure OUR children receive a great learning experience for the entire time they are in school. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
